The Unfound Treasure of the Oblivious
2022 Digital Art I am a frequent people watcher, with this I witness a lot of people searching for a better life even though they are in a lot better of a situation than most people are. In this piece I try to show how people tend to look for more. While they don't realize that the treasure trove is actually right in front of them or in this piece’s case, below their feet. Because of watching people on this search for better but gaining nothing I try to stay down to earth and be content with what I have and not go out of my way to get more. The treasure symbolizes the better life that most long for. And the oblivious being the one striving to find their own fortune.

Stickman Training
2022 Digital media I believe that with the proper motivation anything can be achieved and any feats that were once seen as impossible can be done. When I was making this animation I made an effort to try to show that training for something that is seen as hard for you can help improve your skills. When people get caught up complaining about how they aren’t good enough to do something or they aren’t as advanced as those that they look up to, it bothers me because as someone who sticks to the background I know and see that what is required is practice and repetition. I try to remember this and incorporate this into a lot of what I do and not give up until I know that I have done all that I can. In this piece I purposely tried not to give a representation to the character or scene to allow the viewer to be able to place themselves into the position and imagine themselves improving at what they struggle in.

Progress
2022 Colored pencil and Sharpie 9x12 In many cases I see myself sitting back and doing nothing when I decide that I can’t do anything more. I think that a big problem that I have is giving up too early and because of this I do whatever I can to not give up. This problem is something that I not only see in myself but many others too and that is what inspired me to make this piece. Something I will always strive to do is push people to be their greatest because of this and I felt like the three words I chose in this really help to portray a push for success. I also placed a warrior in the background to make the words almost fit as a warriors motto to give them a sort of backing.
